A vehicle that no longer runs takes up space and keeps binding its owner. Scrapping settles it: preparation, handover to an approved centre and the certificate that closes the file. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Saint Lucia are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the mission can include preparation, removing plates and personal effects, driving or arranging collection, handover to the centre and passing on the destruction certificate.
An end-of-life vehicle goes to a centre approved for that treatment under the applicable regulations, and handing it over produces a destruction certificate: that document is what ends your obligations linked to the vehicle, so keep it. Remove the plates, the documents and your personal effects beforehand, and flag any battery, gas cylinder or product still in the vehicle.
The worker acts only on the basis of a written authorisation from the owner, with the vehicle's documents and the details of the garage or organisation concerned. The vehicle's condition is recorded at the start and at the end, with photos, and the mileage noted: that is the only way to avoid an argument afterwards.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
The pick-up point, destination and time are agreed in advance, and the driver confirms arrival.
