A pallet is not delivered like a parcel: it needs a suitable vehicle, a tail lift or a dock, ground you can move on and an accessible drop-off point. The information given when ordering decides whether the delivery is possible at all. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in New Zealand are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the delivery can include loading, securing, transport, unloading, drop-off at the agreed accessible point and delivery confirmation.
A pallet is only handled with the right equipment — pallet truck, tail lift, sack truck — on flat, clear ground, never by hand. The load is wrapped or strapped, the weight kept low and centred, and nobody stands under a raised load. Give the real weight, the dimensions, the height under any archway and whether a lorry can get access.
A tight deadline never justifies dangerous driving: the worker respects speed limits, does not use the phone while driving and stops to check an address. The load is secured, stays within the vehicle's capacity and obstructs neither visibility nor the exits. In case of tiredness or bad weather, postponing beats pushing on.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Depending on the weight and the access; state the floor, the lift and the width of passages in your request.
Agree how you will be contacted and ask for confirmation at handover.
Name a trusted person in advance; nothing is left without a handover unless agreed in writing.
Both addresses, the weight, the dimensions, the access, the deadline and a reachable number.
