Buying a machine for a single job makes no sense. Hiring gives access to the right tool, with the accessories and consumables, for exactly as long as you need it. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Haiti are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the hire can include checking the equipment at collection, handing over accessories, an explanation of how it works, the agreed period and a check on return.
The equipment is checked together at collection and on return: general condition, accessories, fuel or oil level, cables and guards in place. Take photos and note existing faults before leaving. Read the manual for the model hired before use: two similar-looking machines do not always have the same controls or the same safety features.
Goggles, gloves, closed shoes and ear protection depending on the machine: a flying fragment or prolonged noise cannot be undone. Guards are never removed, the tool is unplugged or switched off before any adjustment, and the machine is not lent to someone who does not know how to use it, nor to a minor. Work on stable ground, and never in the rain with an electric tool.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Depending on the agreement: delivery and collection, or pick-up on site; state it in your request.
Stop using it and tell the hirer immediately; do not try to repair it yourself.
Usually yes; agree the return condition and fuel level in advance.
