Editing turns hours of rushes into a few minutes worth watching. Shot selection, pacing, clean sound, subtitles and the right export format make the difference between raw footage and a finished film. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Democratic Republic of the Congo are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include receiving and organising the rushes, editing, colour grading, sound mixing, subtitles, one round of corrections and the final export.
Music, fonts, stock footage and clips used in an edit must be royalty-free or covered by a licence suited to the intended use. A commercial track added without a licence exposes the video to takedown or blocking on platforms: agree on the content used before editing.
Agree in advance what is delivered, in what format, by when and what uses of the images are allowed. Source files stay confidential and are neither published nor used as a portfolio without your explicit agreement. Make your own backup as soon as they are delivered: no storage lasts forever.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Agree in advance which files are delivered and what uses are allowed; the author keeps their rights over the images unless otherwise agreed in writing.
It depends on the volume and the retouching work; set the deadline before the shoot.
