Pigeons settle on balconies, ledges, roofs, AC ducts and attics. Their droppings soil and damage materials and raise hygiene concerns. The goal is to stop them landing and nesting. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in New Zealand are notified of your request.
Depending on what you agree with the worker, the job can include cleaning droppings and abandoned nests, disinfection, fitting anti-landing devices or netting and blocking access points.
Droppings must be removed with suitable protection before devices are fitted; do not handle them without precautions.
Facade work may require access equipment and the agreement of co-owners; describe the situation.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Spikes and nets stop them landing without aiming to harm them; they deter for the long term.
Nests and droppings are removed during cleaning, taking any applicable rules into account.
Fine nets are discreet; ask for a model suited to your balcony.
