Small appliance repair

Small appliance repair — South Georgia

A food processor that no longer spins, an iron that won't heat, a vacuum that won't suck: these everyday appliances can often be fixed by replacing a cable, switch, heating element or motor. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in South Georgia are notified of your request.

What the service covers

• blenders and food processors;
• irons and steam generators;
• vacuum cleaners;
• coffee makers, kettles and toasters;
• fans, hair dryers and clippers.

Depending on the diagnosis and what you agree with the worker, the job can include testing, dismantling, replacing the faulty part, cleaning and a safety check before return.

Key points

Electrical safety

An appliance that overheats, smells of burning or trips the breaker must be unplugged and not used until repaired.

Worth repairing?

For a very cheap appliance, the worker can say whether repair still makes sense compared with replacement.

What affects the price

• appliance type;
• the fault;
• part availability and cost;
• number of appliances;
• any pick-up and return.

The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
