Building a small website, automating a spreadsheet, setting up home automation, configuring a phone or a tablet, putting an automatic backup in place, moving to a new device: some needs are not among the listed services. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in United States are notified of your request.
Before choosing this service, check whether a more specific one exists: PC repair, clean-up, network, printer, router, antivirus, data recovery, PC building or lessons. Otherwise, describe the need and the equipment involved.
Back up your important files before any work: a repair may require a reinstallation. Do not share your passwords: open the sessions needed yourself and change them afterwards if you typed them in front of someone. Your personal files stay confidential, are neither copied nor kept, and no unlicensed software is installed on your equipment.
The device is unplugged before opening it, and a lithium battery that is swollen, punctured or getting hot is not handled: it is kept away from anything flammable and taken to a collection point. Components are handled on a clean surface with no liquid nearby, and screws and ribbon cables go back in order. A device still under warranty is not opened without checking what that implies.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
