A computer that will not start or shows an incomprehensible error blocks everything else. An on-site diagnosis separates what can be repaired, what needs replacing and what is no longer worth the money. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Slovenia are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the job can include the diagnosis, an estimate before work, a backup if agreed, the repair or reinstallation, tests and an explanation of what was done.
Back up your important files before any work: a repair may require a reinstallation. Do not share your passwords: open the sessions needed yourself and change them afterwards if you typed them in front of someone. Your personal files stay confidential, are neither copied nor kept, and no unlicensed software is installed on your equipment.
The device is unplugged before opening it, and a lithium battery that is swollen, punctured or getting hot is not handled: it is kept away from anything flammable and taken to a collection point. Components are handled on a clean surface with no liquid nearby, and screws and ribbon cables go back in order. A device still under warranty is not opened without checking what that implies.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Often yes for software or configuration; a hardware fault requires a visit.
