A badly configured antivirus, or two installed at once, protects poorly and slows the machine. The installation includes cleaning up first, correct settings and above all the habits that prevent most infections. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Slovenia are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the job can include the diagnosis, removing unwanted software, the installation, the configuration, a first full scan and an explanation of the right habits.
An antivirus is downloaded from the publisher's official site, never from a link received by message, and only one antivirus is installed at a time. Updating the system and the software matters as much as the antivirus itself. An alarming window asking you to call a number, pay urgently or allow remote control is a scam: close the window, do not call back, and have the machine checked.
Back up your important files before any work: a repair may require a reinstallation. Do not share your passwords: open the sessions needed yourself and change them afterwards if you typed them in front of someone. Your personal files stay confidential, are neither copied nor kept, and no unlicensed software is installed on your equipment.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Often yes for software or configuration; a hardware fault requires a visit.

The equipment, the system, the exact error message, how long it has been happening and what changed before the fault.
