A router tucked into a closed hallway halves the coverage. Placement, wifi channel and configuration often matter more than the speed advertised with the subscription. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Comoros are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the job can include the installation, wifi settings, a room-by-room coverage check, connecting devices, securing the network and an explanation of the settings.
The device is unplugged before opening it, and a lithium battery that is swollen, punctured or getting hot is not handled: it is kept away from anything flammable and taken to a collection point. Components are handled on a clean surface with no liquid nearby, and screws and ribbon cables go back in order. A device still under warranty is not opened without checking what that implies.
Change the default password of the router and the wifi, and keep the new one to yourself: sharing it with a neighbour means opening your network and the devices on it. That is what a guest network is for. Remote access to a computer is opened only for the duration of the job and closed afterwards, and a code received by message is never given to whoever calls or writes to you.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Often yes for software or configuration; a hardware fault requires a visit.
