A PC built for a specific use often costs less than an equivalent off-the-shelf model and can be repaired part by part. Choosing the components matters more than the brand: it is the balance between them that makes the machine. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Haiti are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include defining the need, the component list, the assembly, the system installation, the tests and an explanation of the maintenance to plan for.
The device is unplugged before opening it, and a lithium battery that is swollen, punctured or getting hot is not handled: it is kept away from anything flammable and taken to a collection point. Components are handled on a clean surface with no liquid nearby, and screws and ribbon cables go back in order. A device still under warranty is not opened without checking what that implies.
Back up your important files before any work: a repair may require a reinstallation. Do not share your passwords: open the sessions needed yourself and change them afterwards if you typed them in front of someone. Your personal files stay confidential, are neither copied nor kept, and no unlicensed software is installed on your equipment.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Often yes for software or configuration; a hardware fault requires a visit.
Back up before the job; your files are neither copied nor kept.
Depending on the diagnosis; the estimate is given before any purchase.
