Losing photos or work documents is often worse than losing the hardware. Depending on the failure, some files remain recoverable, provided you stop using the device immediately. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Haiti are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the job can include the prior diagnosis, an estimate of the chances of success, the recovery attempt, transfer of the recovered files and backup advice for the future.
No data recovery can be guaranteed: depending on the failure, some or all files may be permanently lost. As soon as data is lost, stop using the device and do not leave it running: every write reduces the chances. Do not open a hard drive yourself and do not install recovery software on the affected device. Agree in advance what happens if nothing can be recovered.
Back up your important files before any work: a repair may require a reinstallation. Do not share your passwords: open the sessions needed yourself and change them afterwards if you typed them in front of someone. Your personal files stay confidential, are neither copied nor kept, and no unlicensed software is installed on your equipment.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
