A badly oriented or partly shaded panel produces far less than expected. The prior assessment of orientation, tilt, shading and the roof structure determines everything else. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Saint Lucia are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include the prior assessment, the estimate, the installation, the connection, commissioning, production tests and an explanation of monitoring and maintenance.
Installation takes place on a roof whose structure can take the load, by professionals equipped for working at height: every year there are falls from roofs on improvised jobs. Panels produce direct current as soon as light reaches them, even with the inverter off: wiring and connection are for a qualified professional. Grid connection follows the procedure set by the network operator.
Any work on the circuit is done with the power off at the breaker, and connecting a device to the consumer unit is for a qualified professional. A protective device is never replaced with a higher-rated one to stop it tripping: that tripping protects the installation. After reassembly, a function test is carried out before closing up and switching back on.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
