Annual servicing is not a formality: it extends the appliance's life, reduces consumption and above all checks the safety devices and the flue, which is what protects the occupants. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Haiti are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the visit can include cleaning, safety checks, flue verification, adjustments, a function test and the issue of the service certificate.
A gas water heater is not handled yourself and requires permanent ventilation that is never blocked. Carbon monoxide cannot be seen or smelled: headaches, nausea, tiredness or dizziness affecting several people, or easing when you go outside, mean opening the windows, switching the appliance off, going out and calling the emergency services. If you smell gas, touch no switch and call from outside.
