Building concierge — Democratic Republic of the Congo

The concierge (bawab) keeps the building running: clean common areas, bins out and in, receiving visitors and deliveries, watching the entrance and reporting faults to the building manager. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Democratic Republic of the Congo are notified of your request.

What the service covers

  • cleaning stairs, halls and landings;
  • putting bins out and bringing them in;
  • receiving visitors and parcels, if agreed;
  • watching the entrance;
  • reporting faults (lift, lighting, leaks).

The role is defined with the building manager or co-owners: hours, tasks, possible housing, days off, cleaning equipment and replacement arrangements.
