Slide rail for a shower head, shower curtain rail or grab bar: fitting on tiles needs careful drilling and watertight fixings to prevent leaks. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Ireland are notified of your request.
Depending on what you agree with the worker, the job can include locating, drilling tiles, fitting plugs, fixing, sealing holes and checking hold.
Tiles are drilled with a suitable bit, without hammer action, avoiding fragile joints and concealed pipes.
Holes must be sealed to prevent water seeping into the wall. For a grab bar, fixing must be especially sturdy.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Suction or adhesive systems exist, but hold less.
