A yellowed, stained or simply dull ceiling changes the light in the whole room. Yet it is one of the most tiring painting jobs to do yourself: arms raised, spatter, lap marks that show up in low-angle light. On Helplease, you describe the room and the condition of the ceiling, and the workers offering this service in Netherlands are notified of your request.
Depending on the condition of the surface and what you agree with the worker, the job can include:
Matt paint is often chosen for ceilings because it hides small imperfections better. In a kitchen or bathroom, a paint suited to humid rooms is preferable. Say whether you supply the paint or whether the worker should buy it.
A water stain often bleeds through a single coat of paint. It needs a suitable stain-blocking primer and, above all, the leak must be repaired first. If there is mould, mention it.
Mouldings, cornices or carved plaster require more careful work and should be mentioned in your request.
Above a standard height, a stepladder is no longer enough and a mobile scaffold may be needed. Give the approximate height.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
It makes things easier. Otherwise, furniture is gathered in the middle and covered. Say whether the room will be empty or furnished.
Two coats are usual for an even finish. A new or stained surface also needs a primer.
Yes, once the leak is repaired and the surface is dry, using a suitable primer so the stain does not come back.
Either option is possible. If you buy it yourself, give the brand and colour; otherwise, agree on the type of paint with the worker.
