Search engine optimisation in South Africa

Search engine optimisation — South Africa

SEO is built over time: first what is technically blocking, then pages that genuinely answer what people are searching for. No shortcut holds up for long against a search engine. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in South Africa are notified of your request.

What the service covers

technical audit and fixing blockers;
research into the keywords actually used;
page structure and internal linking;
useful, readable content;
position tracking and regular reporting.

Depending on the agreement, the service can include the audit, a prioritised action plan, technical fixes, work on the content, tracking the results and a periodic report.

Key points

No guaranteed ranking

Nobody controls a search engine's ranking: no position and no timescale can be guaranteed, and a promise of a "first page" should raise an alarm. Artificial methods — bulk link buying, duplicated content, hidden text — sometimes give a short-lived gain before a lasting penalty. The work is about real content, the structure of the site and its speed.

Site data and access

The access details — hosting, domain name, admin, social accounts — belong to the client and are handed over: a site whose access you do not hold is not really yours. Passwords are sent through a safe channel and changed after delivery. A form that collects personal data requires clear information for visitors and storage limited to what is necessary.

What affects the price

scope of the project;
number of pages or items of content;
features requested;
content and visuals supplied;
support after delivery.

The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
