Editing is what makes the footage exist: what gets cut matters as much as what is kept. Pace, clean sound and readable subtitles weigh more on attention than raw image quality. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Canada are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include collecting the footage, reviewing it, the edit, one round of corrections, the graphics, the subtitles and delivery in the requested formats.
Music, fonts, archive footage and effects used must be covered by a licence suited to the intended distribution: uncleared music gets a video taken down or demonetised, sometimes months after it goes online. Anyone recognisable must have given written agreement before publication, and parental agreement is required for a child.
Texts, photos, fonts, music and templates used must be royalty-free or covered by a licence suited to the use: an image taken from a search engine exposes the site to a claim, often years later. Third-party logos and trademarks are not reused without permission, and content supplied by the client remains their responsibility.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
You do: hosting, domain name and accounts are handed over on delivery.
