A second-hand piece of furniture, an appliance to bring home, materials to carry up to the third floor: a heavy item needs the right vehicle, the right equipment and often two people. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Haiti are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the mission can include loading, transport, carrying to the requested room, unpacking, removing the packaging and a simple installation.
A heavy parcel is carried by two people, with straps, a sack truck or gliding pads, back straight and load close to the body. The route is measured first: doors, corners, stairs and ceiling height. Give the real weight, the dimensions, the floor and whether there is a lift: an underestimated weight is the main cause of injury and of refusal on site.
A tight deadline never justifies dangerous driving: the worker respects speed limits, does not use the phone while driving and stops to check an address. The load is secured and does not obstruct visibility or handling. On a two-wheeler, a helmet is required and the load must remain compatible with the vehicle's balance.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Agree how you will be contacted and ask for confirmation at handover; a photo of the delivered parcel can be arranged.
Name a trusted person in advance; a parcel is never left without a handover in person unless agreed in writing.
Yes, if properly packed and flagged in the request.
Both addresses, the floor, the contents, weight, dimensions, the deadline and a reachable number.
