Drawing lessons in Sierra Leone

Drawing lessons — Sierra Leone

Drawing can be learnt, contrary to what people think: it is a set of observation and construction methods, not a gift. A few sessions are enough to see the difference between what you look at and what you think you see. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Sierra Leone are notified of your request.

What the service covers

line basics and observation;
proportion and perspective;
shadow, light and volume;
portrait and figure;
sketchbook and drawing from life.

Depending on the agreement, the session can include a review of your level, guided exercises, live correction, work to continue between sessions and advice on materials.

Key points

Workshops, minors and materials

For a learner under 18, the workshop takes place in a shared room or with the door open, at an agreed time, with parents informed about the content. Materials are chosen to suit the age: cutting tools, strong glues, fixatives and sprays are used under adult supervision, in a ventilated room and on a protected surface. Products are resealed after use and stored out of children's reach.

Quote and vigilance in an emergency

An emergency call-out is still a service that can be discussed: ask for the estimated amount before the work starts, a detailed invoice at the end, and refuse to sign a document you have not read. Be wary of anyone piling up unjustified replacements, demanding immediate cash payment or refusing to put their estimate in writing. The worker must be qualified for the work concerned.

What affects the price

length of the session;
level and goal;
materials provided;
number of participants;
travel to your home.

The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
