Painting lessons in Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)

Painting lessons — Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)

The difficulty in painting is almost never the hand: it is mixing colours and building the image. A few sessions on those two points change the result completely, whatever the technique. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) are notified of your request.

What the service covers

acrylic, oil and watercolour;
colour mixing and values;
composition and framing;
landscape, still life or abstract;
advice on materials and studio set-up.

Depending on the agreement, the session can include a review of your level, preparing the surface, guided exercises, supported work and advice for continuing between sessions.

Key points

Products, ventilation and storage

Paints, varnishes, glues, fixatives and solvents are used with a window open, away from any flame, with gloves and on a protected surface. Never mix two products, and soaked rags are dried flat outdoors before being thrown away, never bundled up. After the session, products are resealed and stored out of children's reach, and hands are washed before eating.

Workshops, minors and materials

For a learner under 18, the workshop takes place in a shared room or with the door open, at an agreed time, with parents informed about the content. Materials are chosen to suit the age: cutting tools, strong glues, fixatives and sprays are used under adult supervision, in a ventilated room and on a protected surface. Products are resealed after use and stored out of children's reach.

What affects the price

length of the session;

The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
