Brake pads, wipers, blown bulbs, reading a warning light, preparing for the technical inspection, upholstery cleaning or small bodywork: some needs are not among the listed services. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Canada are notified of your request.
Before choosing this service, check whether a more specific one exists: basic service, tyres, battery, windscreen, fluid checks, washing or anti-theft. Otherwise, describe the model, the exact symptom and where the work would take place.
A vehicle is never worked on supported by a jack alone: handbrake on, wheels chocked, axle stands in place on flat, hard ground. Work is done with the engine off and cooled, because a hot cooling system is under pressure and scalds the moment a cap is opened. Fixings are tightened to the manufacturer's torque, and a short test drive is made before going back on the road.
An emergency call-out is still a service that can be discussed: ask for the estimated amount before the work starts, a detailed invoice at the end, and refuse to sign a document you have not read. Be wary of anyone piling up unjustified replacements, demanding immediate cash payment or refusing to put their estimate in writing. The worker must be qualified for the work concerned.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Yes for most jobs, if parking allows it and access is safe.
Depending on the agreement: the worker can supply them or use the ones you have.
Oils, filters and batteries are taken away and passed to a proper collection channel.
