A vehicle protected by several different devices takes far longer to steal, and it is time that puts thieves off. A ground anchor changes everything for two-wheelers, which are usually carried away rather than started. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Canada are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include advice on suitable devices, the estimate, the fitting, installing the anchor, the tests and an explanation of daily use.
A vehicle is never worked on supported by a jack alone: handbrake on, wheels chocked, axle stands in place on flat, hard ground. Work is done with the engine off and cooled, because a hot cooling system is under pressure and scalds the moment a cap is opened. Fixings are tightened to the manufacturer's torque, and a short test drive is made before going back on the road.
An emergency call-out is still a service that can be discussed: ask for the estimated amount before the work starts, a detailed invoice at the end, and refuse to sign a document you have not read. Be wary of anyone piling up unjustified replacements, demanding immediate cash payment or refusing to put their estimate in writing. The worker must be qualified for the work concerned.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
