A motorbike is washed differently from a car: a pressure jet aimed at the bearings, the chain or the dials does more damage than the dirt. Cleaning always ends with drying and re-lubricating the chain. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Brazil are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the job can include washing, degreasing the chain, rinsing, drying, lubrication, treating the plastics and a quick visual check.
Washing at home is done with a bucket and a controlled-flow lance rather than a running hose, and a pressure washer is kept away from seals, sensors and labels. Wash water loaded with products is not tipped into a storm drain or onto bare ground: washing takes place where run-off can be handled properly. Products are dosed as the label says, never mixed.
An emergency call-out is still a service that can be discussed: ask for the estimated amount before the work starts, a detailed invoice at the end, and refuse to sign a document you have not read. Be wary of anyone piling up unjustified replacements, demanding immediate cash payment or refusing to put their estimate in writing. The worker must be qualified for the work concerned.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
