A personalised object is remembered long after the celebration. An engraved name, a hand-painted motif, a date or a discreet message turns an ordinary item into one that matters. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Iceland are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include discussing the design, a mock-up, approval, the work itself, protective finishing and delivery or handover of the item.
A commissioned piece does not reproduce someone else's work, a protected character or a brand logo: reproducing without permission exposes both the person ordering and the person making it. For a portrait from a photo, the agreement of the person shown and of the photographer is needed. Agree in advance what is delivered, which uses are allowed and how the author is credited.
Paints, varnishes, glues and solvents are used with a window open, no flame nearby, with gloves and a mask suited to the product. Never mix two products. Rags soaked in oil or varnish can heat up and ignite on their own: dry them flat outdoors or soak them in water before throwing them away, never bundled up in a bin.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
Depending on the agreement: they can supply them or work with yours; state it in your request.
Yes, agree on a proposal or a sketch before the work begins.
Depending on the area and complexity; the worker gives an estimate after seeing the place or photos.
