Custom framing shows an image off far better than a standard frame that is too big or too tight. Size, margins, moulding colour and type of glazing are decided according to the image and the wall. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in France are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the service can include taking measurements, choosing the materials, making the frame, assembly, backing protection and hanging it on the wall.
Glass is handled with gloves, carried on edge and never flat, and offcuts are picked up immediately. For a large format or a frame destined for a child's room, safety glazing or a clear sheet avoids the risk of shards. On the wall, the fixing is chosen for the real weight and the type of surface, and conduits are located before drilling.
Decoration does not touch the structure: drilling a load-bearing wall, altering a partition or working on electrics, gas or plumbing is for qualified professionals. Before drilling, locate the conduits and pipes, and choose fixings suited to the surface and the weight. In a rental or a building with shared rules, check what the lease or the rules allow before making lasting changes.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
