An inheritance is dealt with at the worst moment, when nobody is in a state to gather papers. The support brings order to the documents and the calendar; the legal acts themselves remain the business of the notary. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Canada are notified of your request.
Depending on the agreement, the support can include listing the documents, organising them, booking appointments, accompaniment if agreed and follow-up of the stages of the case.
The worker helps gather, understand and fill in: they are not a lawyer, a notary or a public official, and give no legal advice. They do not represent you, sign nothing on your behalf and do not access your accounts. Official acts are for authorised professionals, and information is always confirmed with the body concerned.
Your documents stay confidential: they are not copied, kept or passed on without your agreement, and working files are deleted once the process is over. Originals stay with you; hand over copies only, and only when genuinely required. Never share your passwords or codes received by message: open the necessary accounts yourself.
The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
They can prepare and accompany; anything requiring your signature or your presence stays with you.
Yes: copies only, nothing is kept or passed on without your agreement.
No: timescales depend on the body, and nobody can promise to speed a case up.
