Printer installation in Plötzky

Printer setup — Plötzky

A printer that refuses to join the wifi can cost you a whole evening. Setup sorts it in one go: drivers, network, printing from the phone and settings that stop ink being wasted. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Plötzky are notified of your request.

What the service covers

• connection and driver installation;
• wifi and network connection;
• printing from a phone or tablet;
• scanner configuration;
• quality and ink-saving settings.

Depending on the agreement, the job can include unboxing, connection, driver installation, joining the network, print and scan tests and an explanation of the settings.

Key points

Equipment and electricity

The device is unplugged before opening it, and a lithium battery that is swollen, punctured or getting hot is not handled: it is kept away from anything flammable and taken to a collection point. Components are handled on a clean surface with no liquid nearby, and screws and ribbon cables go back in order. A device still under warranty is not opened without checking what that implies.

Data and passwords

Back up your important files before any work: a repair may require a reinstallation. Do not share your passwords: open the sessions needed yourself and change them afterwards if you typed them in front of someone. Your personal files stay confidential, are neither copied nor kept, and no unlicensed software is installed on your equipment.

What affects the price

• nature of the problem;
• equipment involved;
• length of the job;
• parts or licences needed;
• travel or remote support.

The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.
