AC servicing / gas recharge in Cuenca

AC maintenance and gas recharge — Cuenca

A poorly maintained air conditioner cools less, uses more power and can spread dust and bad smells. Regular servicing and, if needed, a refrigerant recharge after a leak repair restore its efficiency. On Helplease, you describe your needs and the workers offering this service in Cuenca are notified of your request.

What the service covers

• cleaning filters and the indoor unit;
• cleaning the outdoor unit;
• checking pressure and operation;
• refrigerant leak detection;
• gas recharge after repair.

Depending on what you agree with the worker, the job can include cleaning, clearing the condensate drain, measurements, finding and repairing leaks, then recharging and testing.

Key points

A recharge is not servicing

An air conditioner does not use up its gas: if it is low, there is a leak to find and repair before recharging, otherwise the problem returns.

Refrigerant

Handling refrigerants is reserved for qualified technicians and governed by environmental rules; do not attempt to recharge yourself.

What affects the price

• number of units;
• appliance type (split, ducted, cassette);
• access to the outdoor unit;
• leak detection and repair;
• amount of refrigerant to recharge.

The rate is agreed with the worker based on these elements.

Frequently asked questions

How often should an AC be serviced?

At least once a year before the hot season is often advised; filters are cleaned more often.

My AC no longer cools: does it need recharging?

Not necessarily; clogged filters or a fault may be the cause. A diagnosis is needed.

Water drips from the indoor unit?

The condensate drain is often blocked; cleaning clears it.

What information should I give?

Number and type of units, access to the outdoor unit, the problem and date of last service.
